Letter, 18 Mar. 1864, Dalton, Ga., Constantine Percival to Ada Bacot, re medical care she provided him, military desertions, and Percival's battle experiences; letters, 1865-1866, Charleston, S.C., Richard H. Bacot to Ada Bacot, re business ventures, operation of a river boat, and death of Helen Morgan. Also including eight volume diary, 1860-1863, Florence County, S.C., and Virginia, re life at Mars Bluff, S.C., service as a Civil War nurse, plantation and community life, relationship with slaves, problems of a female plantation owner, politics, her dedication to nursing, community projects, and Richard H. Bacot's Confederate States Naval career. Diary includes entry, 10 Nov. 1861, re traveling to Monticello Hospital, Charlottesville, Va., with the Rev. Robert W. Barnwell; entries, 29 Jan.-25 June 1862, re daily listing of patients treated including names and treatment administered.
